About Us
LIGHT Academy is a part-time hybrid school, combining homeschool with traditional schooling. LIGHT provides the structure and accountability of a school setting, with the flexibility of the homeschool schedule on non-school days. LIGHT families are registered homeschool families, and their students attend in-person classes two days a week. The teacher and parents/guardians are both responsible for the student's education.

LIGHT Academy currently offers kindergarten-high school.

Beliefs and Values
These core beliefs and values guide our teaching at LIGHT Academy. LIGHT has the right to refuse admission to anyone in direct opposition of our beliefs and values.
-
We believe God’s Word is our final authority for faith and practice.
-
We believe that people were created in the image of God, both male and female and that these two distinct and immutable genders were part of God’s good and perfect plan for creation. Furthermore, God designed marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Messiah, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
-
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. We believe Jesus Christ died in our place, as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.
-
We value sharing the love and light of Jesus with others.
-
We value a community that offers grace, truth, and a Christ-centered approach to learning.
-
We value a safe atmosphere, physically and emotionally, and work towards sustaining healthy relationships with each other.
