Our System for 2024-2025

The subjects taught are Language Arts (which includes elements of history), Math, and Science. Classes will be divided into groups based on grade level/age; however, math classes are based on placement testing and parents/teacher's discretion.

We cap our classes at 15 students.

The Language Arts classes use a combination of IEW, Daily Grammar Practice, and Progeny Press literature.  In addition, the teacher will supplement as needed with her own resources.  Class includes time to practice communication skills, work together in groups, and receive individual feedback and support from the teacher.  Content focuses on grammar and punctuation instruction, reading comprehension, general writing skills, and elements of history.

The Math classes use Saxon Math curriculum.  Math class placement is based on each student's placement test prior to school attendance.  Classes offered for the 2024/2025 school year are:

Saxon 7/6 (6th grade)

Saxon 8/7

Algebra 1/2

The Science classes use Apologia and Berean Builders curriculum, with additional supplementation by the teacher. Class time will be used to practice STEAM concepts, peer collaboration, science journaling and communication, with individual support and feedback from the teacher.
