LIGHT Secondary

6th-12th Grade

Classes meet twice a week, 8:50am-1:30pm. Subjects taught are language arts, math, and science.

2026-2027

The subjects taught are Language Arts (which includes elements of history), Math, and Science. Classes will be divided into groups based on grade level/age; however, math classes are based on placement testing and parents/teacher's discretion. 

We cap our classes at 16 students.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

ELA: Arts & Letters curriculum is used for K-8th.

Math: Saxon 7/6 (6th grade), Saxon 8/7 (7th grade), and Algebra 1* (8th grade).

Science: General Science 1 (6th grade), General Science 2 with intro to Anatomy (7th grade), Atomic Age (8th grade).

*indicates a class that is high school credit worthy

 

HIGH SCHOOL

A la carte options are available for high school students only.

Students may take 1 class for $80 per month, 2 classes for $160 per month, or all 3 classes for $225 per month.

ENGLISH

Classes focus on writing, literature, informational texts, and discussion groups.  Class includes time to practice communication skills, work together in groups, and receive individual feedback and support from the teacher.

9th grade ELA*: 10:15-11:25am Monday/Wednesday or

12:15-1:30pm Tuesday/Thursday

10th-12th grades ELA*: 9:00-10:10am Monday/Wednesday or

9:00-10:10am Tuesday/Thursday

MATH

Algebra 2*: Tuesday/Thursday 10:15-11:25am

Advanced Math* (mix of trigonometry, calculus, and statistics): Monday/Wednesday 10:15-11:25

Math class placement is based on each student's placement test prior to school attendance.

SCIENCE

Classes use Apologia and Berean Builders curriculum, with additional supplementation by the teacher. Class time will be used to practice STEAM concepts, labs, peer collaboration, science journaling and communication, with individual support and feedback from the teacher.

Biology*: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday 9:00-10:10am

Chemistry* (pre-req: must have completed Algebra 1 with passing grade): Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday 12:15-1:30pm

ENROLLMENT FOR 2026/2027 IS OPEN.

$200 non-refundable deposit is due at time of enrollment. 

Half of your enrollment fee will be credited to your May 2027 tuition.

Tuition = $225 per month per student.

One-time curriculum fee = $200​

One-time rent fee = $100
